Angela Yancey

Director of Operations

Mrs. Angela Yancey grew up in in Mecklenburg county in a single parent household. After completing highschool, Angela attended American National University where she graduated with a degree in Computer Applications Management and a minor in Business Administration. In her professional career, Angela has always volunteered or worked in the nonprofit sector for the past twenty five (25) years.

Angela’s nonprofit experience includes Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, Salvation Army, numerous local food banks, United Way, Mentor Role Model, and Southside Wellness Coalition. Angela has always held leadership roles in the various organizations that she has been involved with,  where she learned to be resourceful in the operations of each entity. Angela has expertise in marketing and advertising, fundraising, partnership development, budget management, grant writing, and business management.

Angela currently resides in Halifax county with her husband of twenty five (25) years, Joel Yancey and two biological daughters, Aniyah and Jomari, plus two bonus daughters, Hope and Harmony. In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending service at Saint Mark’s Missionary Baptist Church, and reading.
