The Southern Virginia Higher Education Foundation (SVHEF) is proud to recognize Xavier Eubanks who is the first recipient of the Old School Car Club Scholarship Fund (OSCC). Eubanks is an HVAC student at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center (SVHEC) located in South Boston, VA.
The OSCC began their scholarship opportunity through the SVHEF this fall and will award two, $500.00 scholarships per academic year for students earning workforce training credentials at the SVHEC.
“On behalf of the Old School Car Club we are excited to give support to students learning the trades. Our club has always wanted to start a scholarship and we are thrilled to be making this award to Mr. Eubanks,” said members of the club.
“Scholarship opportunities like these are essential in creating a skilled and educated workforce,” said Duane Hatcher, SVHEC HVAC Program Leader.
