Scholarship Application

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

  • If a question on the application does not apply to you please put N/A in the space.
  • You will be notified by phone and email regarding the status of your application.

  • If you prefer to download the application to complete, please mail or submit your application in person to: SVHEF 180 Factory Street South Boston VA 24592.

The Foundation Scholarship Funds are issued directly to the specified institution and to be used for tuition and books only. The scholarships awarded are without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religious, gender, or sexual orientation. Scholarships are based upon availability of funds and additional qualifying criteria.

Application Deadlines: December 1st- Spring Semester, April 1st- Summer Semester, July 1st- Fall Semester, SCHEC Cohorts Applications due 10 business days prior to class start date.

Please provide your answers below. If the application is illegible it will be returned as incomplete.

First time Scholarship Applicants MUST Provide: 1. Completed Application Form, incomplete applications will not be considered. 2. Personal Essay describing your financial need and your passion for area of study. Include previous academic accomplishments, short and long-term goals with your career plan. 3. Two Professional or Academic Letters of Reference (Teacher, Employer, Supervisor). Letters MUST be signed.
2nd Time Applicants MUST provide your Date of Last Award. ALSO ATTACH BELOW: your Unofficial Transcript of classes/ previous semester grades and a Letter/Statement from class instructor describing your performance.

Microsoft Scholarship Applicant: Certificate Program Applicants must be enrolled in the IT Academy at Southern Virginia Higher Education Center. Please answer the following question.
