Brian Burton, Secretary

Brian is a Halifax County native who resides in the Town of South Boston.  Brian graduated Halifax County High School, Class of ’83 and then continued his edcuation at Lynchburg College earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in 1988.

Brian Burton is breaking ground at J. E. Burton Contstruction where he’s been the President since 2001.

Burton is an avid leader and supporter of Halifax County.  He serves on the Virginia Advisory Board and American National Bank.  He is also a Trustee with Main Street United Methodist Church, and Clubhouse Chairman at the Halifax Country Club.

His prior community leadership roles include: member of the Halifax Education Foundation and the South Boston-Halifax County YMCA.  He was President of the South Boston Jaycees and the Paul Jones Coalition.
